Abrasive blasting is the use of an abrasive material propelled against a surface under high pressure in order to remove surface contaminants or shape a surface. This allows us to make touch-ups on parts to help ensure their reliability. We use a walnut shell blast for paint or organic finishes; a 400 mesh glass bead to blast stainless steel; and a 120, 180, or 220 aluminum oxide blast for steel prior to plating and cleaning parts.
